About Us

Fighting Hunger In Chester County

OUR MISSION STATEMENT:

“The Chester County Food Bank Inc. is a non-profit organization that provides food for those in need in Chester County while focusing on hunger’s role in poverty, health and education.”

Using the donations we receive, our mission is to feed over 32,000 local households that don’t have enough food.

Food Cupboards & Feeding Sites:

We distributed over 1,000,000 pounds of food per year to over 65 organizations that include; food cupboards, feeding sites, non-profit organizations and shelters.

About Gleaning:

The Chester County Food Bank plants and harvests fresh produce through our Gleaning Program. Last year we grew an average of 70,000 pounds of food from 40 participating farms. In the Spring and Fall, we harvest the produce grown with the help of over 600 volunteers and use this food to feed families.
