Gleaning Update – Corn Harvested!
ByWe are proud to report that to date, we have harvested over 4,900 lbs of corn from two of the farms that glean from their crops to help support the Chester County Food Bank.
Many thanks to The Gibb Farm in Cochranville and The Stratton’s Wynnoor Farm in West Chester.
We also tip our gleaning hats to all the volunteers who lend a helping hand to weed and pick this land the farmers have generously donated. We know that the time and effort to help pick and deliver these crops to hungry residents of Chester County is exhausting and rewarding work. Glad your are part of our team. Thanks for the help!
We value all of our volunteers and hope they feel the great reward we all share “helping to feed hungry people!” If you are ready to be part of a non-profit group that works to help feed people in need, please contact us today!
